Level 200 Students of the Department of Communication and Development Studies of The University of Bamenda have been educated on countering disinformation and misinformation within our communities. “We decided to take on level 200 students of the Department of Communication and Development Studies because they are making their way into the Journalism profession. What they receive as education is basically on concepts. We taught it wise to equally bring them the concepts on Misinformation and Disinformation.”
“Getting them grow with the conciousness together with the consequences of sharing information without verification, is assuring for a better media landscape tomorrow. Thereby mitigating those three ills that have contributed to the escalation of the present crisis in the region” they added.
