Edwin Ajimsimbom is a journalist with UBa Voice (The University of Bamenda Campus Radio/newspaper), With academic background in Communication and Development Studies in The University of Bamenda.
He is a youth leader and peace champion working within the framework of the E.U-funded 36months project dubbed Voices of Youth in Cameroon for Peace(VOYCE) with Women in Alternative Action (WAACameroon).
He is an experienced surveyor with a demonstrated history of working in the development and organizational sector, with the INSTITUTE POUR LA RECHERCHE, LE DÉVELOPPEMENT SOCIO-ÉCONOMIQUE ET LA COMMUNICATION(Institute For Research, Socioeconomic Development and Communication(IRESCO) and RESEARCH AND ADVOCACY FOR GENDER JUSTICE (RAGJ) within the context of the Anglophone crisis.
With training and certifications in peace building and conflict management processes, Edwin is a strong advocate for constructive information sharing and facts-based reporting as a tool to ensure sustainable peace and development in communities. He was recently selected on the #defyhatenow program of the African Fact-Checking Fellowship, AFFCameroon. He is a cohort 7 fellow of this program and will be trained on how to factcheck online information.
