Amabo Chris Abonwi

Amabo Chris Abonwi is a young enthusiastic and consistent communicator, trained in the University of Bamenda with a BSc in Communication and Development Studies. His communication career is still blooming and can be traced back to 2019 when he started volunteering at the University of Bamenda

teaching radio (UBaVoice FM 91.5) as a sound technician. He grew in ranks to become chief sound technician, program producer, host and anchor of programs at the radio. He has volunteered with media houses like CBS Radio Bamenda, Ablaze TV Bamenda and Legacy Development(LD) TV Buea. Currently he is a podcaster and owns the podcast blog Chris Black's Mindset hosted on anchor online radio and project manager for The Gong237. Chris is a cohort 7 fellow of the #defyhatenow African Fact-checking Fellowship AFFCameroon. He is interested in gaining fact checking skills that will help him to reduce the spread of FakeNews, #Misinformation and #Disinformation online and offline.
