Obah Rosaline is a Trainer/Consultant in Peace Journalism & Conflict Transformation. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism & Mass Communication from the University of Buea – Cameroon, with high proficiency & competences for strategic communication within the global perspective. With over 16 years experience, she has emerged into an outstanding & leading communication for change professional, peace activist, GBV expert & an all-round journalist. Having impacted public communication within Cameroon to a more global context with her expertise, she is currently serving as President of the Young African Women Congress Network YAWC Cameroon Chapter & the National Coordinator for Cameroon Community Media Network (CCMN).
In these roles, she has demonstrated a greater zeal in strategic & impactful peace building & digital communication following the very cancerous armed conflict in the two English Speaking Regions of Cameroon. This conflict has revolutionized institutional communication especially with the advent of modern digital communication tools such as the internet & social media but she has been relentless in advocating for “Do No Harm” & “No Hate Speech” principles in communication. She is also Founder & Executive Director of The Centre for Strategic Communication, Peacebuilding & Sustainable development known as CESCOMPSUD. She is the Vice National Coordinator of the Gender Data Network in Cameroon, certified Factchecking Fellow with #defyhatenow. She believes that peace is possible and to ensure this she has dedicated her time to contribute to several capacity building workshops, training programs, seminars & field activities reaching out to youths, women, children, religious authorities, traditional authorities & many other strategic community development stakeholders. Lastly, she is a good team player & with excellent team spirit.
