Waindim Sylvia is a Cameroonian journalist, writer and communication officer with 7 years of experience in communication. She is passionate about women empowerment, Gender Based Violence, Human Rights community development, child education and event hosting.
She currently works as a freelance writer and journalist. She is a holder of a BSc in Journalism and Mass Communication from University of Buea, a post graduate diploma in Human resource management from Pan African Institute of Development and currently pursuing a Master of Science in Communication and Development in the University of Bamenda. She was selected to be trained by #defyhatenow on the African Fact-checking Fellowship program run by #defyhatenow. She wants to gain experience in Fact Checking to be able to fight fake news, misinformation, disinformation and mitigate hate speech online and offline.
