He worked at Mirror Radio-Tv Akwa Douala, CBS Radio Bamenda, Radio Hot Cocoa Bamenda, and LTM Douala. One-time Communications officer at HIBMAT University Institute of Buea, HUIB. He has attended several workshops and seminars on journalism-related topics like fake news, crisis reporting, election reporting, and more. Mbaku has been running an online news blog called STANDARD MIRROR\u00a0 (https:\/\/guru.news.blog\/)\u00a0 since 2018 where he publishes news stories and is also the secretary General of the Cameroon Association of English-speaking Journalists, CAMASEJ Buea. He is currently a fellow of the Africa Fact Checking Fellowship cohort 9.
