Dorcas Ekupe, Journalist

Dorcas Ekupe is an award winning Cameroonian freelance journalist based in Cameroon’s Far North Region. She was one of the winners of the World NTD Day Story Telling Competition in the audio category, organized by Youths Combating NTDs ( Neglected  tropical diseases), African women in media AWIM labour migration Media Award In the gender Migration category (Collaborated with another journalist) and another national journalism competition Entitled, “Coronavirus and its impact on children,” where I was one of the winners in the  radio Category.

Having volunteered with the State Broadcaster’s regional Stations, Crtv littoral and Crtv Far North, she showed her passion for Humanitarian Journalism that permitted her to cover the Boko Haram Crisis and issues affecting women and girls.

Dorcas is also a member of the Association of female journalists in Cameroon – AFMEC and  she contributes to the radio program “Calling the Women” over CRTV’s national Station.
